Sure you know that the best place to start your auto insurance quote quest is online...duh, but what questions do you ask and what do you look for?
These are just a few things you can do or ask for to help lower your annual car insurance rates.
A. Raise your deductible amount, that is the price YOU pay when you make a claim. If you do not make a claim....you don't pay, you just save money on your policy by having this higher deductible amount. The higher the deductible the better, say $1,000.
B. Ask for discounts! AARP, military both active and retired, good students, member of a credit union or a fraternal organization even, limited uses like just to work or school and back, over 65 etc. etc. Just ask!
C. Buy a safe vehicle! Does your vehicle have passenger area air bags, anti lock brakes, a security system, 5 star crash rating etc. etc.
D. Combine your home insurance with your auto coverage.....and make sure you ask them for a combination deduction! Also if you have not had a claim in 10 years, let them know that as well.
Good luck.
